We offer backcountry mountain bike trips. Our specialty is outfitting. Let us take care of your multi-day ride logistics, gear, cuisine and shuttle while you focus on pounding out miles of trail, single track, two track and roads in the Payette National Forest.

Join us for some of the best mountain biking in Idaho in the Payette and Salmon River Mountains adjacent to McCall. With the ability to combine yurt stays with Burgdorf Hotsprings, as well as world class descents to the Salmon River drainages, we can offer truly amazing rides with any amount of climbing and/or downhill you desire. With many years experience exploring the backcountry with friends and clients, we can put together the ideal ride for you and your group.

Details/Ride Options

Any of the rides described below can be turned into an multi-day trip.  We offer vehicle supported multi-day mountain bike trips near our yurts at Lick Creek Summit, and a variety of trails on the Payette National Forest including, Burgdorf Hotsprings to the Salmon River.  We take care of food, camping/lodging and shuttling, while you enjoy the riding! 

Cow Creek Loop w/ shuttle 16 mile single track

20 Mile Trail – Advanced,  10-40 mile options.  10.5 miles of technical single track, starts with 700’ climb past Duck Lake, then descends 1600’ to Warren Wagon Rd.  Can be combined with up to 30 miles of road riding and Burgdorf Hotsprings.

Loon Lake Single track – Intermediate,  9-30 mile options.  Between the Loon Lake, Ruby Meadows, Willow Basket, and Secesh River trails, riders have the ability to combine loops of beautiful single track, with a hearty lunch on the shores of Loon Lake.

South Salmon Downhill – Advanced Beginner, 16 miles.  Explore the east side of the summit with a breathtaking 3000’ descent through the magnificent glacier carved walls of Lick Creek Canyon to the confluence of the Secesh and South Salmon Rivers, on the border of the Frank Church Wilderness.  Steep 2-WD gravel road.

French Creek Downhill – Intermediate 12-29 miles. Ride 8 miles on a graded gravel road before dropping over 4000’ in 12 miles down the French Cr. Grade, to the Salmon River below. 

Marshall Mountain to Salmon River via Idaho Centennial Trail.  Ride from Burgdorf to the top of Marshall Mountain at 8443 feet then decent a two track trail to Carey Creek on the Salmon River at 2000 feet in elevation.

            

Summit – Salmon River Tour + Loon Lake Singletrack, 4 Day Tour,  95 miles This tour will layover at the Burgdorf Camp for 2 nights,   As described in Steve Stuebner’s new edition of ‘Mountain Biking in McCall’  Endless variations for this vehicle supported ride are available.
